Candle Care

Wick Trimming

To get the most out of your hand-poured candle, trimming the wick is key! Before each burn, trim your wick to about ¼ inch. This helps your candle burn cleaner, prevents excess soot, and keeps that beautiful flame steady. You can use wick trimmers, scissors, or even pinch it with your fingers once the wax has cooled. A well-trimmed wick means a longer-lasting, better-burning candle—plus, it just looks prettier!

First Burn

To keep your candle burning beautifully, let it melt all the way to the edges on the very first burn—this usually takes 2 to 4 hours. Why? Wax has a memory! If you blow it out too soon, it’ll start to tunnel, leaving wax wasted along the sides of the jar. A full melt pool from the start sets your candle up for an even, long-lasting burn every time.

Safety First

Always burn your candle within sight and away from anything flammable, as well as kids and pets. Place it on a heat-safe surface, avoid burning for more than 4 hours, and stop use when about ½ inch of wax remains. Let the wax cool completely before relighting for a safe, even burn every time.
